Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Adele Sciortino, ODACA now resides in Canada. Her artistic abilities, is a direct result of a strong heritage of creativity. Surrounded by talented grandparents and parents who were master tailors, quilt makers, and music teachers, who handed down a myriad of learning techniques to bring forth a creative and artistic presentation. Her endeavors to bring fabric from its most simple form to a delicate creation of distinction are a constant driving force.

Each distinctive figurative sculpture has their own unique quality, made with the utmost care and imaginative focus. Her scope widens as she continues to build her creative process with a mystical chairs series all the way to wearable art in the form of cuff bracelets.

Other hobbies enjoyed by Adele and equally mastered are painting of watercolors, (Gouache Medium) photography, crocheting, quilting and reading.

She has been involved with the figurative sculpture making for the last 10 years, strictly as a leisure time hobby, at the time, while running a very successful business on a full time basis. Now conducts “Creative Costuming” workshops throughout North America.

As a certified Feng Shui consultant, Feng Shui Institute of America (FSIA) helping her to achieve the balance in all her works; a graduate of Fine Arts/Graphics from the University of South Alabama, a graduate of Dale Carnegie’s Sales and Marketing Program, she continually strives to be tenacious in broadening her knowledge with the latest techniques of figurative sculpting and learning from the masters.

Her works have been featured in Soft Dolls and Animals, Contemporary Doll Collector, United (as featured Artist), Doll Crafter & Costuming as well as Art Doll Quarterly. Her latest endeavor has been through Patti Maderis Culea in her third and latest book; Creative Cloth Doll Couture, which one of her figurative sculptures is featured. Her fine art sculptures have received numerous awards through the Canadian Doll Artist Association and commended by Canada’s leading Doll Masters.

Each figurative sculpture is as important as the next. Each with their own souls and personalities, Adele has captured the enlightenment and spirit of true doll making. Many figurative pieces adorn the homes and hospitalities of celebrities and continue to be appreciated by all those who view them.

The most recent development has her "Fine Art Sculptures" being exhibited in major galleries across North America.
