Akiko Sakura©, was inspired by my visit to Japan last year, she is a theatrical Japanese Geisha figure depicting the beautiful culture that Japan has to offer. She is a cloth, wire armature body and head is sculpted from Fimo. Her costume is vintage kimono fabric and hand beaded to enhance the overall look. She wears the traditional juban undergarment, obi waist sash, geta clogs, and kimono.She is kneeling on a traditional tatami mat and complimented with a handmade shoji screen. Her hair ornament is a vintage hair pin made from the King Fisher bird feathers accented with ornamental handmade hair pins.
